The owner of this San Francisco neighborhood landmark deli wanted a map of Italy so he could have customers point out places that they came from or had identity with. The color palette echos that of old fashioned topographic maps. The map was enlarged from the largest map of Italy we could find, and transferred to eight masonite panels and painted with acrylic paints. The panels were then assembled and installed onsite.
