This series of painted ceramic sculptureis hand built and then fired after drying and I finish with acrylics since I feel more comfortable with them than using glazes.

As with the Doge, I fell in love with a Lorenzo Lotto portrait of a young man. He represented the spirit of the Renaissance to me and I had a lot of fun in making this piece that has an antique patina to make it look as if it has been around awhile.
