This series of painted ceramic sculptureis hand built and then fired after drying and I finish with acrylics since I feel more comfortable with them than using glazes.

A family who always came to my open studios saw my other Renaissance style portraits and wanted one for their home. Natale, the daughter, was becoming a young lady and was the perfect model for this commission. Leo built the decorative pedestal to complete the piece.
